After living in Nortern california where my daughter was born, we moved to Georgia. I continued my studies in Photography, Graphic Design and Computer Animation. I also worked as Production Manager in an Atlanta retouching studio. My goal has been to work independently so all my creative abilities can be utilized. Hopefully, 22 Flamingos will help me achieve this goal.

                       She Can Fly
She's confined to a wheelchair, but she can fly. In her mind, in her spirit, she's up for the ride! She's brave and she's gutsy, determined and proud, oh how she wishes she was riding a cloud. She glides , she soars, she tricks and she jumps, what might life have to offer but one more bump. She knows in her heart that she can weather any storm, she won't take a minute, her situation to mourn. Oh how she'd really love to learn to fly, up with the birds in the enormous blue sky. Whether here on the earth, on water or soil, for a chance to be bird-like, she's ready to toil.

      The above poem pretty much sums up my life over the past 23 years. It was written and submitted as a letter of recommendation for a scholarship to learn to fly an airplane with hand controls. I was awarded the scholarship - I can now fly!
